The Strategy for Carers In Norfolk 2010 - 13

Is due out very soon!  As part of this, an 'Action Plan' has been developed to meet the information requirements for Carers that has been identified in the strategy.  Click HERE to find out more.

As part of the Action Plan a new website is being developed for Carers in Norfolk which will become a 'one-stop-shop' providing information about services available to Carers and Young Carers in the County and the organisations and groups providing them.  Carers will be able to search for support groups in their area and there will be a calendar of Carer's events, news articles and video reports from Carers speaking about their experiences and use of services.  Carer's groups and organisations will be able to upload information about themselves and events they are organising.  The website will also provide comprehensive information about support available for Carers in Norfolk that will supplement the 'Who Cares' booklet.  Click HERE to find out more.

As Who Cares reaches its tenth year it's time a take a look and see if it is still meeting the needs of Carers.  This summer we will be consulting with Carers and the feedback received will feed into a major revamp of the publication in 2011.

New look for Carers Council for Norfolk!

As part of ongoing work to raise the profile of the Carers Council for Norfolk and the work it does to improve services for Carers in Norfolk, the organisation has been undertaking a bit of a makeover and now has a brand new look!  The new logo was designed by Sarah Thomas Communications and represents the coming together of Carers and Carer's organisations to promote this cause.  The logo was the result of well attended workshop sessions that will also form the start of a new strategy that will enable the Carers Council to reach out to more Carers.
